Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (HVFCU) provides financial services to more than 280,000 members from about 20 branches in eastern New York's Hudson Valley region. Membership is available to all who reside, work, volunteer, worship, or attend school in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, or Ulster counties. In addition to savings accounts, credit cards, mortgages, and business and personal loans, the credit union offers insurance and financial planning services to its individual and small business members. It provides access to investments and asset management services through an agreement with third-party provider LPL Financial. HVFCU was founded in 1963 as the IBM Poughkeepsie Employees Federal Credit Union.
