Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi earned its litigation stripes in some of the most well-known cases of our age. It won a $6.6-billion settlement against big tobacco for the state of Minnesota, won $38 million for 199 women in Dalkon Shield cases, and represented the government of India in its suit against Union Carbide after the Bhopal chemical disaster. The firm's more than 230 lawyers work out of company offices in half a dozen cities nationwide. Lawyers practice in areas ranging from personal injury and mergers and acquisitions to business litigation and white-collar crime. The late Solly Robins and Julius Davis founded the firm in 1938.
