Ruspetro is -- surprise, surprise -- a Russian petroleum company. The oil and gas exploration firm holds licenses covering a 1,205-sq.-kilometer area in the Krasnoleninsk field in western Siberia. It has more than 1,400 million barrels of proved and probable oil reserves and about 30 active and 60 inactive wells. The Khanty-Mansiysk region where Ruspetro operates has been home to oil and gas exploration for some time, so industry infrastructure is already in place. The company is building a connector pipeline to the nearby Transneft oil pipeline; it currently delivers its daily production of 4,500 barrels of oil by truck. Ruspetro was formed in 2007 as Petroltech Holdings; it went public in early 2012.
